Il 21 Gennaio del 2011 hanno invaso le edicole del nostro pianeta..ehm della nostra nazione. Stiamo parlando delle Calamiticar, automobiline a retrocarica dal design unico e accattivante, prodotte e distribuite da GRANI & PARTNERS e PREZIOSI COLLECTION, ormai azienda leader nel settore del licesing di gadgets e toys per edicole e distributori. Federico Mariani ha per loro realizzato il character design di queste 12 automobiline, dalle fattezze aliene e mostruose, ispirandosi al mondo del toy-design asiatico, ma anche attingendo alla propria memoria dell’infanzia dove riecheggiano serie di cartoni animati giapponesi e giocattoli degli anni 80. La particolarità ludica di questi toys è che “partono” solo se il pilota è a bordo, attraverso una calamita (da qui appunto il nome CALAMITICAR ). Tra le dodici troviamo Skeelo con la sua auto teschio, Lumacron superbo insetto, Flubby il balenottero alieno e Zimbo lo zombie di marzapane! Nella confezione c’è anche un simpatico FanBook con le caratteristiche dei personaggi e i fumetti, illustrati anch’essi da Federico Mariani. Non resta che collezionarle tutte!

We are talking about Calamiticar, breech-loading cars with unique design and attractive, produced and distributed by GRANI & PARTNERS and PREZIOSI COLLECTION, now a leading provider of licesing of gadgets and toys for vending machines and kiosks. Federico Mariani has created for them the character design of these 12 cars, from the monstrous and alien features, inspired by the world of art-toys design and his childhood memories, where japanese anime cartoons and toys of the 80 still still echoes in his mind. The peculiarity of these fun toys is that “starting” only if the pilot is on board, through a magnet (hence its name CALAMITICAR). Among the twelve, there are Skeelo the skull car, Lumacron superb insect, the whale Flubby, Zimbo the alien zombie gingerbread! In the pack there is also a nice FanBook with the infos of the characters and comic books, also illustrated by Federico Mariani. You just have to collect them all!
